St. Bede always has a lot in store for both enrolled families and interested students. Our community is always engaged and inclusive. Enrolled families can attend various events like the Christmas Tree Sale that starts in early December annually, where families enjoy sipping hot chocolate by a crackling fire while kids run through the fragrant trees with festive lights strung overhead. Or, they can volunteer at our annual Best of the Bede block party and field day, celebrating the Feast of St. Bede and the start to summer at the same time, chatting and getting to know some of the parents who work the event annually. Opportunities to help out and get to know the community abound at St. Bede School. For interested families, stopping in or contacting us for a school tour anytime is another way to see all the seasonal artwork and get caught up in the sense of charity and community so prevalent in the school.

Catholic Schools Week

This is the week that the students truly feel a part of the whole Catholic School experience. Usually enmeshed in the day to day of the St. Bede livestyle, students get a more broad sense of what it entails to be part of the Catholic School Community, in general. Inviting parents into the school for morning coffee and donuts and celebrating together as a school with spirit days and lunchtime treats allow the students to reflect on their role as Catholic School Students.

Point Breeze Yard Sale, St. Bede Used Book Sale, and Food Truck Round-up

Quickly becoming a fun, annual event for the St. Bede community, attendees can browse the neighborhood for treasures, stop by St. Bede for some gently used books, and enjoy everything from burgers to mac and cheese from the popular food trucks parked on the school grounds all day.

Gingerbread House Decorating

This is quickly becoming a favorite event for families at St. Bede. Annually, parents and kids alike get together over icing, gumdrops, and chocolates to construct individual gingerbread houses. Hot chocolate, cookies, and a lot of gingerbread engineering assistant are in abundance at this popular event.

Book Fairs

Books and reading are important at St. Bede School. Twice a year, the students look forward to Scholastic Book Fairs during which the kids shop, and the parents volunteer and chat with one another.

St. Bede Clean Up Day

Ever the community-conscious school, St. Bede families get together several times a year to lovingly replant trees, rake mulch, maintain the playground, paint equipment, and clean up everything from the school to the sidewalks! It is a festive, all-inclusive, hard-working day!

Kennywood Day

This is an annual must-attend day for St. Bede families. Kennywood Day is always in June, and always when kids are celebrating the beginning of summer.
