Catechetics is the center of our Catholic school. A Christ-centered atmosphere is fostered by stressing Christian values in the classroom as well as throughout the school. A conscious effort is made to integrate Catechetics into every aspect of the school curriculum.
Our belief in Jesus has drawn us to this school community. Our beliefs are expressed in and strengthened by daily communal prayer. Students develop skills and a love for the Church’s daily worship.
St. Bede students are involved in activities which enable them to strengthen their faith and enrich their relationships with families, neighborhoods, and the communities. Worship and service include:
- Daily Morning Prayer
- Daily Morning Gospel Readings
- Monthly Eucharistic Adoration
- Regular Opportunities for the Sacrament of Reconciliation
- Weekly Mass
- Sacrament Preparation
- Children’s Choir
- Altar Servers
- Community Service
In addition to the many opportunities for worship and service, St. Bede School emphasizes a Gospel Value for each academic year. The focus for the 2017-2018 school year is “BE A MISSIONARY”. St. Bede students are taking Bishop Zubik’s words to heart and becoming missionaries during this school year. Each grade, guided by their teachers and student council representatives are creating and carrying out a project that will help the needy.
