St. Bede School, located in the Point Breeze section of Pittsburgh, PA, has been an important part of the community since its establishment in 1922.  The location of the school and the strong commitment within the community and the parish to Catholic education has contributed to the development of a diverse faith-filled elementary school.

The thrust toward educational excellence at St. Bede School is one that flows from the belief that each child is a unique human being endowed with special gifts. We believe that each child should be able to develop these gifts and to participate in a learning environment that promotes love of God, love of nature, and love of self.

We believe that a truly Catholic-Christian education aids in the development of responsible persons who will make meaningful contributions to a faith community and to an interdependent world.

St. Bede provides a supportive environment, a challenging curriculum rich in gospel values, opportunities for concrete acts of service, and meaningful activities and athletics that will enable each child to maximize his/her academic potential.

The school services over 300 students in grades Preschool 3 through 8th. It follows the curriculum standards of the Diocese of Pittsburgh and the State of Pennsylvania and is accredited by the Middle States Association.
